ABOUT NATIONAL UNITY WEEKEND
Unity Weekend was founded to elevate the Christ-centered church as the key facilitator in leading our society toward racial unity and serving the needs of diverse American communities in both word and deed through teaching the Gospel and service/volunteerism (Romans 10:17, Psalm 107:20, Luke 12:33-34, Luke 14:12-14).
THE MISSION

Unity Weekend is an opportunity for believers to discuss our faith by sharing the Bible’s transformative message of racial and ethnic unity from pulpits across the country and to practically demonstrate God’s love and our oneness in Christ across racial, ethnic, cultural, socio-economic, and denominational lines, while serving the underserved in our local communities. We will commit to developing a gospel-based stance on racial unity that will become a part of your faith community’s DNA.

Step 1

Annually, churches and ministries across the U.S. will focus on teaching and preaching a biblical perspective of racial unity.

Step 2

Annually, volunteers will unite to serve underserved communities across the US as a practical demonstration of love in action.

NATIONAL SPONSORS

Be part of the conversation by participating in our Quarterly Let’s Talk Zoom Calls where Pastors can hear, be heard, and address critical race matters of our day. Join evangelical leaders, parachurches, and ministries from across the nation as we discuss our pain, disappointments, and triumphs, as it relates to race relations in America, as well as come up with practical solutions to the crisis.

Pastors, church leaders and organizations will unite as one in prayer and worship and intercede on behalf of our nation and Unity Weekend. Stay tuned for more details on how you can participate in this event.

Operation Blessing has agreed to provide food for distribution to serve targeted neighborhoods in the Washington DC; Atlanta, Georgia; and Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas areas. In addition, churches and organizations around the country will be encouraged to partner with one another to demonstrate the Gospel by sharing the love of Christ through outreaches across racial and denominational lines to serve the needs of targeted, underserved communities.

Churches and ministries across the U.S. will simultaneously focus on teaching and preaching a biblical perspective of racial unity (in either a single sermon or series). Galatians 3:28 will be the shared text for the Sunday message.
